About The Show

A deal with the devil, a pennant race, and the greatest comeback in baseball history.

Damn Yankees is the classic American musical comedy about baseball, the devil, and the price of a deal made in desperation. Set in 1955 Washington, D.C., the show follows Joe Boyd, a devoted Senators fan who sells his soul to Applegate — the Devil himself — in exchange for the chance to become Joe Hardy, the young slugger who will finally lead his beloved team to victory over the Yankees. But as Joe rises to stardom, he finds himself torn between the life he traded away and the one he's living, while Applegate's seductive assistant Lola works to keep him under the devil's thumb. A love letter to America's pastime, Damn Yankees is full of show-stopping numbers,

big laughs, and a whole lot of heart.
