"Fulfilling.
That is my one-word description of The Heights Players
(Brooklyn, NY) production of The Laramie Project.
Congratulations to David Lamberton and the entire ensemble cast.
Great work by one and all."

"The funniest
play I have ever seen at the Heights Players! Great direction
from Noel McDuffie and outstanding acting from the cast. Steve
Verlardi and Bill Barry are totally believable as 'mates' from
the other side of the pond....great chemistry on stage. That
goes for the whole cast. Cameron McIntosh and Kayla Ferguson are
perfectly cast as the 'not so dim' brother and 'not so mean'
sister and Larry Gutman is suitably creepy as the evil Klansman.
The 2nd act is full of hilarious surprises. See this play!"

"This production had a
FANTASTIC cast, and was very well directed! Each actor really
embodied their character and brought them to life. The direction
brought depth and humor to the already funny script. The
Foreigner was truly a delight to see!"
"The
Foreigner, as performed by Brooklyn
Heights' venerable theater company, is farce at
its most pure: unrelentingly absurd, energetic,
ridiculous, and downright funny." Reviewed

Tiffany
Stoker was a standout in the role of Ilona Ritter. Her
expressions were so evocative that I didn't want the play to
end. Please cast her again!!

"Just came home from seeing She Loves Me; it was
spectacular. The actors were funny, and their voices are
incredible. The music director really worked the orchestra and
it showed!!! She was fantastic."

Burdette brought tears to my eyes. Brava!! Kudos too to the tap

A big shout out to the person who did costumes. What a
wonderful evening!"

Audience review #1
Received from "Heights fan," Saturday, November 14
Overall:
"Good"
Full coments: "Ted has done
a great job in creating lovely stage pictures and show. Lots of
talent on stage and visually (lights) well done. A big long in
act one, as pacing could have been much tighter, but still
quality."
Audience review #2
Received from "A Heights Players fan," Monday, November 16
Overall:
"Excellent"
Full comments: "Was looking
forward to this after seeing what Ted did with last season's
production of Death of a Salesman and was not disappointed.
Wonderful staging, lights, sound, set, etc., and overall strong
acting. Not quite up to the level of the top performances in
Salesman, which is the best show I have EVER seen at the
Heights, but the best show so far this year and one I think that
will be very hard to top this season. Well worth seeing. Bravo
to all!"

Audience review #2
Received from Dotty, Tuesday, September 15
Overall:
"Good" Full comments:
"Saw this on Sunday and thought that overall it was a
good production and well directed. All the leads were good ...
Louise and both Helens and Susan Groberg, who played Nanny was
great and very funny. Also liked Bill Barry as Bill, the suitor
who at times is both tender and tough but is always devoted to
Louise. It did run a bit long and the energy and voices dipped a
bit in the scenes that did not include Nanny and Bill, but I am
sure that will be worked out as the production goes on."
Audience review #1
Received from Dan, Monday, September 14
Overall:
"Excellent"
Full comments: "This play has
some structural flaws. It doesn't know where it's going, and
takes a long time getting there. Still, it was a touching and
worthwhile experience. Some wonderful acting from every cast
member, especially Susan Faye Groberg as Nanny. (Carol Burnett
fans will immediately recognize Vicki Lawrence's 'Mama.')
Special mention should also go to two young actresses. Linda
Zvereva as Younger Helen and Anna Furmanskaya as Alice give
amazing performances. Carrie Hamilton tragically died before she
and her mother could really give good dramatic form to this bio
of Carol Burnett. But it's still a very enjoyable evening of
theater."
