AROUND TOWN

Cathy Lemon and Billy Wood are performing a fund-raising cabaret act at the Brooklyn Heights senior center on Pierrepont Street on August 22nd.

Founding member John Bourne had quite a summer.  Just weeks after the Heights Players dedicated its performance space as The John Bourne Theater, John traveled to his hometown to mark the 200th anniversary of his family home, the Bourne Mansion.  Read the news article about the celebration here.

Elizabeth Bove directed Alexander Dinelaris' Still Life in August with Noel MacDuffie acting in the lead role.  The show played at the Producer's Club in Manhattan from August 2-5 with enthusiastic response from the audience and press.

Leo Contrino Jr. is having a busy August, as he has been stage managing a show at the New York Fringe Festival, along with being cast in our October production of Once Upon a Mattress.  Right on Target, the Fringe show Leo is working on received a great review and runs until August 24th.
